Sinopsis
New documentary from the director of "Baraka", filmed over five years in twenty-five countries on five continents. "Samsara" is a non-narrative film created by filmmakers Ron Fricke and Mark Magidson. Related to the acclaimed 1992 film Baraka, which was also directed by Fricke and produced by Magidson. The term "samsara" is a Sanskrit word that means 'world' or 'cyclical existence', but is often used to describe world activities. According to Fricke himself, the film delves into his favorite theme: humanity's relationship with eternity. Like "Baraka," this play was shot on 70-millimeter film using the Panavision System 65 and uses music to drive the story. "Samsara" was filmed in nearly one hundred locations in twenty-five countries and took four years to make.
