Sinopsis

Rather than exploring a figure embedded in the history of wrestling, Marie Losier's second feature-length documentary focuses on a wrestler. Saúl Armendáriz, known as Cassandro, the Exotic, has battled his entire life, from two to three losses, without any limitations: neither time, nor geography, nor stereotypes, nor labels. Although he grew up in El Paso, Texas, he always considered himself Mexican; although his sport is dominated by men, he dressed in pink spandex and covered himself in makeup and glitter. Although he was pigeonholed into the group of "the Exotics" because of his sexual orientation, he showed he could do much more than just be the ring's comedian. A 1992 championship, the first lightweight title won by an Exotic, is proof of this.
